Το Supply Chain Institute αναζητά για την Trade Logistics (του ομίλου FOURLIS), Distribution Center Manager για το νέο DC της Inter-IKEA στον Ασπρόπυργο Αττικής.  Ο DCM θα συμβάλλει στο στήσιμο και τη στελέχωση του νέου DC και στη συνέχεια θα είναι υπεύθυνος για τη συνολική λειτουργία και την απόδοση του Κέντρου Διανομής.

Distribution Center Manager  (Code: “DCM”)

Role Purpose: Responsible for overall performance of the High Flow DC, including warehousing, administration & customer service, and achieving all agreed operational and financial objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Warehouse Management

  • Manage and control DC’s operations, ensuring that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency and provide high operational standards in the service delivery to ensure Customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise both inbound and outbound logistics, working closely with transportation and delivery partners.
  • Work together with other departments to ensure warehouse operations are aligned with the organization’s overall business objectives.
  • Foster a safe and healthy workplace by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as adhering to legal regulations.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure adequate staffing is in place to support daily warehouse operations while maintaining high productivity levels.
  • Accountable for meeting distribution center KPIs and implementing a plan for continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all operational requirements for warehousing services that InterIKEA demands, such as “Warehousing Quality”, “Occupational Health and Safety”, “Warehouse Processes”, “Security Services”, and “Sustainability and social responsibility”.

Planning

  • Supervise warehouse capacity management by reviewing from short-term to long-term volume requirements for inbound, picking, packing and outbound operations.
  • Contribute to the Strategic Department Business Plan and annual budget planning. Develop and implement operational and customer excellence strategies to meet growth and profitability targets.
  • Optimize operational layouts, workflows and systems to develop solutions to optimize warehouse space utilization.

People Management

  • Responsible for staff and succession planning, vacancies and absence management, team capability and culture.
  • Conduct structured performance evaluations and KPIs for all warehouse roles.
  • Oversee recruiting and training of team members and ensure team members are provided ongoing skills development and coaching to manage day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

Candidate’s Profile

Knowledge & Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Degree: Technical degree, preferably in Logistics, Transportation, Business, or similar
  • PC Skills: Good command of Excel and Microsoft Office, experience in WMS systems, internet navigation and email systems
  • Foreign Languages and level:  English: Fluent (oral & written)

Qualifications considered as an asset:

  • Master’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • German language degree
  • Warehousing safety & security procedures

Experience:

  • 8+ years of warehouse environment experience, including managerial/supervisory roles
  • Experience in working with diverse population employees, at all levels
  • Experience creating and implementing continuous improvement to cut costs, improve efficiency or streamline processes
  • Experience in optimizing operations in a multi-channel environment
