For the first time, was held from Supply Chain Institute with the scientific cooperation of PLANNING. a specialized and integrated seminar about Carbon Footprint in freight transport, which took place on 3 May at Holiday Inn hotel.

The seminar garnered the interest of executives from major corporations and agencies of the country such as: AB VASILOPOULOS, AGRIPAN, BAYER HELLAS, CARREFOUR, DIXONS SOUTH EAST EUROPE AEBE, FOODLINK, FRIESLANDCAMPINA HELLAS A.E , SYNERGY, AGET HERCULES, APPLIANCES RECYCLING SA, MYTHOS BREWERY, METRON LOGISTICS, DIAKINISIS, EKETA/ IMET, ELANTHI,  TNT SKYPAK HELLAS, TRAINOSE A.E, FAMAR, MARS HELLAS, etc.
Mr Nikolaos Gotzias, Manager of Planning and Mr Andrianopoulos Panagiotis, consultant of Planning, garnered the interest of participants with their speeches. During the seminar the two strains of Planning presented the importance of measuring of Carbon Footprint, specific ways of measuring and optimal practices. Also, Planning was announced as exclusive partner in Greece of Green Logistics Consultants Group. It is a global network of business consultants with specialized knowledge and experience, which the target companies, local and national authorities and international organizations addressed to improve sustainability and green practices of them, emphasizing the logistics. Their activities are: a) the promotion of a green and sustainable approach in supply chain, b) best practices and creation of databases for the calculation of the energy consumption, greenhouse gases, emissions from the activities of logistics and supply chain and c) the promotion of research on sustainable supply chains and their funding
